About R & D Tree Services

Fishkill Creek threads through this corner of East Fishkill with Hosner Mountain standing over it, and when a winter storm rides that ridge the rain freezes on its way down. R & D Tree Services knows what an ice load sounds like at two in the morning. Storm damage cleanup starts at first light: limbs off the roof, the split maple lowered instead of dropped, the yard gone over until there is nothing left to trip on. In the milder months the work turns to pruning and tree trimming, reducing the long horizontal limbs that catch ice, clearing the wires, giving a hillside oak a shape it can actually hold. Tree removal is what remains when a tree can no longer carry a Hudson Valley winter, and it is done so the ground beneath it comes back green.
