Thurston Lawn Care

About Thurston Lawn Care

An August thunderstorm can come up the Hoosic valley in twenty minutes, and it leaves Hoosick steaming, dripping and half an inch taller than it was. Thurston Lawn Care arrives the day after, once the grass has dried enough to cut clean — mowing, running the trimmer along foundations and posts, cutting a true edge where the lawn meets the walk. Spring and fall cleanups handle the other half of the year: matted thatch in April, maple leaves in November. There is a specific satisfaction in the moment the engine shuts off and a yard that was shaggy at eight o'clock is squared away by ten. Hoosick's lawns are big and its summers are generous, and keeping up with them is the whole job.
