About Riverside Lawn Care & Co

Rain doesn't linger here — it slides south by way of the Mill River and Smith Pond and keeps on toward the bays, leaving Hempstead's sandy ground damp on top and thirsty a foot down. Riverside Lawn Care & Co reads a yard by how it drains: mowing at the height the grass can actually carry, aerating and overseeding the worn patches, feeding, trimming, and clearing out the low corner where water stands after a squall. There is a stretch of an hour just after the clouds break when the whole block goes bright and heavy, and the mower leaves a darker green trailing behind it. Weekly and biweekly lawn care, with spring and fall cleanups, for houses across Hempstead and the villages downstream. What shows from the curb is the point: even grass, clean lines, nothing left on the walk.
