About Highland Acres Landscaping, Inc.

Up on the high ground the open fields give the wind a running start, and by three in the morning a driveway that was clear at midnight can be under a drift taller than the mailbox post. Highland Acres plows it back open — drives cut wide, walks cleared to the door, ice treated in the spots the sun will not reach until March. Hamburg gets its snow in bands off Erie, sometimes an inch an hour for half a night, and the only real answer is being out in it while it falls. The reward is small and complete: headlights backing out at seven onto clean pavement. Winter work, for the driveways and walks of a town that expects a lot of them.
