The name is really a calendar. Green runs April into October — weekly mowing, trimming to the fence line, edging along drives, mulched beds, cleanups at either end of the stretch. White takes everything else, and out near Athol Springs it takes it hard, the lake sending band after band inland until a driveway is more rumor than fact. Then the work is plowing, walks opened to the door, ice treated where the sun never reaches all winter. Two colors, one property, and no gap in between them.
