A new street off Boston State Road begins as bare dirt and survey stakes, and by its second May it is lawn — thin, hopeful, and badly in need of somebody who knows what to do with it. Genesis takes those early years seriously: mowing at the right height rather than the fastest one, trimming around young trees without scarring the bark, edges established along concrete that is still pale. Mulch goes into the new beds, and cleanups run in spring and again once the leaves are down. Grass gets sturdy by being cut well, week after week, until it becomes the kind of lawn nobody on the street has to think about anymore.
