About NoSnow Guys

Guilderland took its name from Gelderland, a low and gentle province of the Netherlands, then settled into a corner of Albany County where winter does nothing gently. When a nor'easter swings up the coast and reaches the Capital District overnight, NoSnow Guys set out to make their name come true, plowing driveways open before the morning run toward Albany begins. The pleasure of the job is all in the before and after: a drive that was one smooth white slope at three o'clock, open and squared off by six, with the banks set far enough off the edge that the next storm has a place to go. On streets that fill with headlights early, a cleared driveway decides whether you join them or start digging. It is a small promise, kept in the dark, so a whole town can leave the house on time.
