About Easton Property Services

West of the village the land falls toward the Hudson in long dairy fields, and on January nights the cold pools in the hollows and glazes everything over by four in the morning. Easton Property Services runs those roads with the plow down — driveways off Route 40 and the farm roads, barn approaches, turnarounds, and the walkway from the door out to the truck. Sand and salt go on the shaded pitches where black ice forms first and lets go last. Storms here often start as snow and finish as something worse, so the route gets a second pass to keep the surface from setting up hard underneath. The measure of a night's work is a truck rolling out at milking time without a wheel spinning.
