February in Granby plays a trick — a day above freezing melts the banks out into the driveway, and by dark the whole apron has set into one sheet of ice. Pittsleys Restorations plows and treats for exactly that, opening drives after a storm and putting salt and sand where the runoff hardens. A shoveled walk with grit on it is a small thing right up until the morning somebody needs it. The routes run through the entire white half of the year, storm behind storm, until the ground finally lets go in April. Granby, Fulton and the surrounding Oswego County roads are covered.
