Asgard Excavation

About Asgard Excavation

Glens Falls winters come straight down from the Adirondacks, and after a storm the north wind can keep reshaping the drifts long after the last flakes have fallen. Asgard Excavation meets that season with snow removal, plowing out driveways and other paved ground across the city. What matters is a surface left bare, banks shoved well back from the curb, and a wide, open mouth where the drive meets the street. On a blue-cold afternoon, with the Hudson running open and steaming below the falls that gave the city its name, a plowed drive shines like a dark ribbon through all that white. The name is borrowed from the old Norse home of the gods, and here it is put to the very earthly business of getting cars out of their driveways.
