About Oscar Turcios Landscaping

By October the maples along the Landing streets let go all at once, and the yards near Glen Cove Creek fill up overnight. Oscar Turcios Landscaping meets that with rakes, blowers and the patience it takes to strip a lawn clean without scalping what is under the leaves. The rest of the calendar is mowing, trimming and edging — the steady upkeep that keeps turf thick enough to shrug off a hard winter. Down where the creek bends toward the harbor the wind carries salt, and grass here earns every inch it gets. There is real satisfaction in the last pass of a fall afternoon: lawn short, beds bare, driveway blown down to the pavement, the property squared away before dusk.
