About Rifenburgh Landscaping

Germantown looks west across the Hudson at the Catskills, and on a clear evening the whole river takes the color of the sky standing behind them. Lawn care in this orchard country means mowing on a steady weekly turn, edging drives and walks, trimming around trees and stone, and cleanups when the season opens and when it closes. The land slopes gently toward the water, so lawns dry unevenly and the route follows the sun rather than the map. A yard cut at the right height, edges crisp and clippings cleared, sets off an old house the way nothing else does. From the riverbank road it all reads as one long, well-kept green.
