About Beautify This

German is one of Chenango County's quietest corners, a small town of a few hundred people where gravel roads wander between pastures and long wooded ridges. Beautify This brings lawn care to these back roads, where a mown yard may be the only clipped ground between one stretch of forest and the next. The aim is plain: grass cut to one even height, trimming tucked close around the mailbox post and the porch steps, a property made to look loved. Under a big August sky, with a tractor droning somewhere down the valley and crickets loud in the tall grass at the margins, that lawn stands out like a well-made bed. In German, a little beauty carries a long way.
