About Jantzen Lawn & Property Care, LLC

Late in the day around Jackson Corners the hedgerows go dark first and the mown fields hold the last of the light, the way they do all through a Columbia County October. Property care out here means the whole yard rather than the middle of it: mowing, then the wall lines and post bases trimmed, then walks and drive edged so the place reads finished. Growth on this ground is quick after a storm and slow in a dry August, so the schedule follows the grass instead of the calendar. Leaf work stretches over weeks, apple and maple letting go in their own order. Rolling ground looks right when it is cut even, and that is what the season gets judged on.
