Cutting Edge Tree Service

About Cutting Edge Tree Service

Friendship lies in a fold of the Allegany hills, where Van Campen Creek runs low in August and the ridgelines above town turn rust-colored by the second week of October. Cutting Edge Tree Service climbs those hills for a living — hilltop farmsteads, hollow bottoms, and the houses strung out along the road between them. Tree removal on a slope is a geometry problem before it is ever a chainsaw problem, and the reward is a stump cut flush to the grade with the wood already stacked. Pruning keeps the sugar maples along the lanes sound, and trimming holds them back off the roof lines. When a summer storm hangs on a ridge and lets go of wind and water together, storm damage cleanup opens the lane and gives the yard back.
