About Charles Landscaping

Franklin Square lies flat and close-built, block after block of driveways off Hempstead Turnpike, and when a nor'easter swings up the coast it lands here wet, heavy and all at once. Charles Landscaping does the snow work on those streets — plowing and clearing driveways and lots, opening sidewalks and front steps, and salting wherever the wet freezes solid overnight. Nassau County snow behaves differently than the dry stuff inland: it packs, it re-freezes, and it has to be moved before it sets. Tight lots mean every push gets planned — where the pile goes, how the car gets out, which way the storm door swings. Come morning the block can go about its business, and that is the whole ambition.
