About Jay Excavating LLC

Frankfort Hill rises south of the village in long steep pitches, and the driveways up there ask more of a plow than anything down on the flat. Jay Excavating LLC works both ends of the year on that ground — mowing, trimming, edging and seasonal cleanups while it is green, then plowing, walk clearing and sanding once it is not. On a grade, snow has to go somewhere it will not slide back from, and traction matters more than speed; the same feel for how land drains shows up in how a lawn gets cut. There is real pleasure in coming back down a hill road at first light with every drive behind you open. Frankfort, Schuyler and the roads between them make up the ground covered.
