About Nims Outdoor Services

Wind crossing the open ground around Fort Edward has almost nothing to slow it down, so snow here does not simply fall — it travels, and it fills a driveway back in twice. Nims Outdoor Services works those hours, plowing driveways and lots, clearing walkways, and spreading salt and sand where ice sets up hard along the road edge. The best moment of any run is the turn at the end of it: headlights on a clean black rectangle where an hour before there was nothing but white. People step out at six for work and never once think about it, which is exactly right. Winter in Washington County is long, and the plan is simply to be there for all of it.
