Black River Tree Service

About Black River Tree Service

Forestport is where the Black River gathers itself before heading north, and the woods close in fast on either side of the road. Black River Tree Service works that edge country — year-round houses, camps up on the reservoir, long drives under a canopy that never quite lets the sun reach the gravel. Tree removal on a lake lot is careful business, putting a white pine down the one open lane between a cabin and the water. Trimming lets a little light onto a porch; pruning keeps the dead wood from collecting overhead where it would wait for a windy night. When the wet snow of a north-country March takes half a hemlock across the drive, storm damage cleanup is what gets you back out to the road.
