Fonda lies along the Mohawk with the old canal line running east and west and Cayadutta Creek dropping down through the middle of it. Duke's Landscaping, Lawn Care, & More works the yards on both sides of that creek, mowing, trimming, edging, mulch and bed work, cleanups in spring and again when the leaves come off the valley slopes. River-bottom ground grows grass in a hurry once May warms up, and a skipped week shows fast. So the cutting stays on schedule and the edges stay sharp, and the fairground end of town looks as square as the streets down by the tracks. It is straightforward outdoor work in a valley shaped by it.
