About C & J Landscaping and Maintenance

The village of Florida sits on the rim of the black dirt, that dark drained lakebed where the onions grow and the horizon runs flat between Mount Adam and Mount Eve. C & J Landscaping and Maintenance keeps the properties above that bottomland, mowing, trimming, bed and hedge work, cleanups from the first thaw to the last leaf down. When the valley cold arrives it pools low and hard, and plowing, shoveling and salting become the morning's first order of business. There is something plain and good about a driveway cleared to the blacktop while the fields are still blue with dawn. In summer it is a straight cut line along a walk; the pride is exactly the same.
