The Neversink runs cold and quick through Fallsburg, and the yards along it take their cue from the water — green and fast in July, still and white by January. Dolce Vita Landscaping keeps both halves of that year in hand: mowing, trimming and edging while the Catskill valley is loud with growth, plowing and shoveling once Route 42 goes quiet under a foot of new snow. Storms here come over the mountains without much warning, and the work is simply to be ready when they do. There is real satisfaction in a lawn cut clean to the property line, and more still in a driveway opened before the first car needs it. From South Fallsburg out to Mountain Dale, the aim stays the same — a place that looks cared for, whatever the sky is doing.
