LaBarge's Snow plowing

About LaBarge's Snow plowing

On the Ellenburg ridge the turbines turn all night, and the same wind that spins them packs the road cuts full by morning. LaBarge's Snow plowing works this high, cold corner of Clinton County — driveways and lanes opened, yards and lots plowed, walks cleared, sand laid on the ice that forms wherever the sun never quite reaches. Winter starts early up here and holds on well past the calendar, and drifting, not the snowfall total, is the real opponent. A lane cut through a four-foot drift before daylight is a small victory, but it is the one that gets a household out the door. In this country that counts for a great deal.
