About Sunny green

On a July afternoon the swans on Town Pond barely bother to move, and the shade under the Main Street elms is the only place in the village anyone wants to stand. Sunny green cuts, edges and trims East Hampton lawns straight through that heat, along with the seasonal cleanups that keep a property from getting away from itself. Grass in a dry August wants a steady hand more than a heroic one, and steadiness is what turns up here week after week. There is a particular pleasure in the finished pass — stripes lying even, the walk swept clean, the whole yard reading calm from the curb. Small work, carried all the way out to the corners.
