Route 114 runs north out of East Hampton toward Sag Harbor past open ground and the woods around Barcelona Neck, and it changes character four times a year. GreenField Landscapers works both ends of that change: mowing, edging, trimming and cleanups when the fields are green, plowing and shoveling once they aren't. April is the reopening, cut back and raked out, first mow of the year, a lawn remembering what it is for. January is the other job entirely, plow before dawn, shovel to the door, salt where the shade keeps ice past noon. Same properties, same care, two completely different sets of tools.
