About Cottage Gardens Landscaping

Dusk in June on the lanes behind Further Lane, where the privet stands so tall the light comes through in slots. Cottage Gardens Landscaping tends the lawns behind those hedges: the weekly cut, the edge run along the drive, the trimming that keeps a border honest. There is a moment right after the mower stops when the grass smell rises and the whole yard looks finished, and that moment is the point of the job. The East Hampton season opens with a cleanup and closes with one, and in between it is steady tending, week by week, through the long green stretch. Nothing dramatic, just a garden that stays worth walking out into.
