About Climbers Tree Care Specialist, Inc.

In East Hampton the salt gets into everything, and the trees know it first — the ocean side of a crown thinning while the lee side thickens, year over year. Climbers Tree Care Specialist, Inc. works that village grid from Town Pond out toward the dunes, under a canopy of elms and old locusts standing over lanes that have never changed their width. Trimming here is done with an eye on the light: how much a hedge line may shade a lawn in August, and how much a house needs of it in February. Pruning takes the salt-burnt wood off before it becomes deadfall, and removal handles what the wind has already decided about. When a nor'easter comes up the beach and puts a limb through a hedge, storm damage cleanup hauls the wreckage out and leaves the lane passable again.
