About Mazurowski Enterprises

Winter arrives at East Greenbush from the east, sliding down off the Rensselaer Plateau, and it never bothers to announce itself. Mazurowski Enterprises runs the night shift against it — plowing driveways open, clearing walks and front steps, putting salt down before a packed track turns to glass. The truck circles the same streets storm after storm, back-dragging away from garage doors, stacking the snow where it will not block anyone's view of the road. There is a plain satisfaction in seeing a kitchen light come on at five and knowing the car is already free. Around here that is how the season gets survived: one drive at a time, finished before dawn.
