About Green Leaf Landscaping Services

East Freetown sits high in the Cortland County hills, where hayfields tip toward the hollows and the morning fog takes its time leaving. Green Leaf Landscaping Services works those ridge roads and valley bottoms, mowing, trimming and edging lawns that were cut out of second-growth woods a long time ago. Up here a yard has opinions — a slope that wants to send the mower sideways, a tree line always creeping back in — and holding a clean line against all of that is most of the job. April opens with a cleanup, raking winter off the grass; November closes it with the last of the leaves hauled away before the ground goes hard. In between there is the good part: the final pass laid straight down a hillside, the smell of it, a green clearing that looks exactly like somebody meant it.
