Deadwood Tree Service

About Deadwood Tree Service

Up on the Concord hills the snow arrives sideways, hauled in off Lake Erie and packed against every windward branch until something gives. Deadwood Tree Service works these back roads between East Concord and the Cattaraugus Creek valley, where a stand of ash left standing dead is a problem waiting on a January gust. Tree removal on that ground is a winter craft — cold hands, a clean face cut, the trunk laid down in the one place there is room for it. Come spring the work turns to trimming and pruning, opening crowns so the next load of wet snow has somewhere to go. Storm damage cleanup fills the days between, hauling out what the hills shook loose.
