About North County Landscaping

Dunkirk keeps one eye on Lake Erie, and everything green in this town grows on the lake's terms — late frosts in spring, humid afternoons in July, and a wind that comes straight up off the harbor past the light at Point Gratiot. North County Landscaping mows, trims and edges through that stretch, working yards where the grass runs thick because the water never lets the air get truly dry. There is satisfaction in finishing a lawn just as the afternoon breeze turns and the whole street smells of cut grass. Fall brings the cleanup rounds, leaves stripped off the maples in one good blow from the northwest. A tidy yard on a Dunkirk block is a small, steady kind of pride.
