About Broomies & More Services

October on Central Avenue arrives all at once — maples letting go over the sidewalks, the light going low and gold by four in the afternoon. Broomies & More Services spends those weeks in the middle of it, raking and blowing and hauling, clearing lawns and walkways so the block looks swept rather than surrendered. The rest of the year is the steady rhythm of mowing and trimming, hedges brought back to a clean line, beds weeded and edged, grass kept even from the curb strip to the back fence. Dunkirk yards are mostly modest and close together, which means the work shows: one tidy lawn lifts the two beside it. That's the pleasure of it — a street that looks cared for, house by house.
