Mud & Snow Inc.

About Mud & Snow Inc.

The roads out of Deposit climb fast — up out of the river notch and into weather that does not always match the village below. Mud & Snow Inc. plows those grades all winter, breaking the drift at the top of a drive so a car can get a run at the hill. Steps and landings get cleared by hand, because that is where a winter morning actually goes wrong. By late February the banks turn gray and the culverts start talking again, and the last pushes get set back to leave room for the melt. It is snow removal shaped by the exact way winter arrives here: sideways, uphill and early.
