About Calandra Landscaping and Snowplow

When the wind sets up off Lake Erie, Depew can get a foot of snow while the sky a few miles north stays clear — that is simply how winter is done out here. Calandra Landscaping and Snowplow is out in the middle of it, plowing driveways along the village grid at three in the morning so the first shift can get to work without a shovel. Walks are cut down to the concrete, the apron by the mailbox gets pushed back, and the ice at the foot of the drive is treated before it can set. Summer flips the same route to mowing and trimming, with the lawns kept level and the edges held true against the sidewalks. Two hard seasons, worked with the same steadiness.
