About Stonerock Tree

Snow does strange things to a wooded lot: it silences the place first, then leans on it. Stonerock Tree works the winter side of those properties in Dansville and the hills around it, plowing driveways, opening turnarounds, and shoveling the paths between house, shed and woodpile that everybody still needs in February. The shale ravines south of the village hold cold well into spring, so drives on that side stay slick long after the flats have dried out. Knowing which ones need the extra pass is most of the work here. It is good work, in the season when the valley asks the most of everyone.
