About Cutting Edge Landscaping

On the North Fork the light comes off two waters at once — the Sound to the north, Peconic Bay to the south — and Cutchogue's lawns grow in the salt air between the vine rows and the farm stands. Cutting Edge Landscaping keeps them in shape with mowing, trimming, edging and seasonal cleanups, timed to a season that starts early out here and runs long. Sandy ground drains fast and burns in August, so the cut height changes with the month rather than staying put. The payoff is a lawn that holds its green against the sea wind and looks composed from the road. Come October, when the crowds thin and the light turns amber over the fields, the yards go into winter clean.
