Corning holds light differently than other towns — it always has, being a place that makes glass — and on a clear morning the brick along Market Street throws it right back down the sidewalk. Big L's landscaping works the yards behind those blocks and out along the streets that climb away from them: mowing through the long green stretch of summer, trimming, edging, cleanups at both ends of the year. Winter flips the job to plowing and salt, drives opened while the whole valley is still one shade of blue. The satisfaction lives in the contrast — a lawn cut into clean bands, a driveway with a straight, deliberate edge where an hour ago there was nothing but white. Small results, and a whole street looks better for them.
