About Emerson Excavating and Trucking LLC

Out where the pavement gives way to gravel on the roads toward Greenfield, winter becomes a question of scale — long drives, wide yards, dooryards a shovel would never finish. Emerson Excavating and Trucking LLC brings weight to it: plow trucks, banks pushed back, snow moved and stacked where it will not block the sightline at the road. There is a particular pleasure in arriving at a yard that has vanished under white and leaving it with edges again, the turnaround squared off, the mailbox reachable. Storms in this corner of Saratoga County can run all night and keep going, so the work gets measured in passes rather than hours. When the last one is done the place looks like itself again, which is all anyone was asking for.
