Butch's Tree Services

About Butch's Tree Services

Winter shows Corinth's bones — the foothills going white to the northwest, the camp roads out toward the Sacandaga quiet under a foot of new snow. Butch's Tree Services runs through it, felling dead pine and hemlock standing too close to a cabin, trimming branches off the eaves where the roof slides pile up, pruning hardwoods while the sap is down and the shape is honest. Melt brings the wind, and with it the storm damage cleanup — broken tops off the lawn, the brush hauled out, the driveway open enough to back a trailer down. Every removal is measured against what surrounds it, because up here the next thing over is usually somebody's roof or well head. The last look before packing up is always at the ground: raked, level, nothing left to trip on.
