Moore-Bridger Tree Service

About Moore-Bridger Tree Service

Copake keeps its lake at the foot of the Taconics, with hayfields running back from the Roeliff Jansen Kill and the ridgeline holding the last sun of the day. Moore-Bridger Tree Service works the lakefront lots and the farm roads out toward the state line — thinning a crown until a view opens, pruning old orchard trees, removing the ones that lean the wrong way over a roof. Ice storms come through this valley and load the limbs until they let go; what follows leaves nothing but raked ground and a stack of split length. Every drop is planned around a garden bed, a gatepost, or a stone wall that has been there far longer than the tree. When the work is done the field light comes all the way through to the house.
