Conquest is flat, open country north of the lakes, where the Seneca River loops toward Howland Island and the sky takes up most of the view. Cayuga Lawns mows and maintains yards across that spread — regular cuts, trimming, clean edges along drive and walk, beds kept weeded, and cleanups when spring breaks and again once the leaves are down. Out here a lawn is framed by fields, so the mown line has to be true or the eye catches it immediately. Summer storms cross the muckland with plenty of warning, which is one small mercy of open ground. The day ends with a yard that reads neat from a quarter mile off.
