The first cut of the year in Elnora always feels like an announcement: the mower fires, the smell hits, and Clifton Park decides it is spring. Everything Green Lawn & Landscape starts there — cleanup first, winter sand and matted leaves raked out, then mowing, edging, trimming and fresh mulch to set the beds. From April through the last warm week of October the schedule holds, and in between there is feeding and seeding to keep the thin spots from taking over. A green lawn in this valley is a made thing, kept by returning to it. The route covers Clifton Park, Elnora, Jonesville, Burnt Hills and Ballston Lake.
