Winter dusk along Route 481 comes on fast — four-thirty and the sky over Clay has already gone that deep blue that makes headlights look warm. Central NY Services runs straight through it, plowing driveways and lots and opening the walks that nobody thinks about until somebody slips. In the green months the same attention goes into mowing and trimming, weekly cuts that keep a property looking answered-for. The satisfaction is physical and plain: a plow lane pushed wide to bare pavement, a lawn finished with the trimmer while the mower is still cooling. Clay gets a long winter and a generous summer, and this work follows both all the way down.
