At the four corners of Clarence Center the houses stop and the fields start almost in the same breath, hedgerows running off toward the horizon in long dark lines. Ken Seitz Yard Services mows and trims the yards along those crossroads and the side roads out past them, where a spring wind can dry a lawn between one pass and the next. April brings the first cleanup — winter's sticks and matted grass off the ground, beds opened up, everything made ready for the season's first cut. Through the summer it's mowing on rotation, with the trimmer tracing mailbox posts, sugar maples and the edges of the gravel drive. Nothing fancy about it; just a yard that keeps looking right week after week.
