About Greenwood Tree Service

Chester lies in the low green country between Goosepond Mountain and the black dirt fields, where the old rail line is a walking path now and Walton Lake holds the last of the evening. Greenwood Tree Service works these Orange County yards — trimming oaks that lean over a driveway, pruning shade and fruit trees into a form that holds, removing the ones gone hollow at the base. Summer storms come over the ridge in a hurry and leave a lot behind; a day of storm damage cleanup takes a yard from tangle to open grass. Big removals are rigged and let down a limb at a time, so the beds and the fence stay exactly where they were. What the neighbors notice afterward is the light — how much more of it lands on the lawn.
