About Carner Care LLC

At four in the morning the Hudson is a black ribbon below Castleton-on-Hudson, and the only light on Route 9J is a pair of amber beacons working a driveway clear. Carner Care LLC handles snow removal here — plowing, opening driveways and walkways, spreading salt and sand where the river damp turns a slope to glass. Storms come up the valley overnight and stack against the bluff, so the work starts long before the first train sounds under the great railroad bridge. There is a particular satisfaction in a clean apron of blacktop at sunrise, curb to garage door, while the rest of the street is still white. By the time the village wakes, the way out is already open.
