About Big Foote Tree Service LLC

Canton sits where the Grasse River runs through a village of stone and sugar maples, with the farm country of St. Lawrence County spreading out around it and the North Country winter arriving early and staying late. Big Foote Tree Service LLC works those river-street yards and the long farm lanes past them, dropping ash and elm that have gone brittle, trimming crowns back off barn roofs and porch lines. Pruning gets done in the cold months, when the wood is still and the shape of a tree reads plainly against the snow. After an ice storm glazes the county and the branches let go all at once, the cleanup starts at the porch steps and works out to the hedgerow. The good days end with a yard swept smooth and a woodpile stacked squarer than it has to be.
