Genesee Street through the village of Camillus is a corridor of old maples, and every October they hand the whole town their leaves. Gasparini Landscaping Company, Inc. is out in it, mowing and trimming while the grass still grows, then running the fall cleanup, then switching to plows when the first heavy night arrives. Winter here means driveways cleared, lots pushed wide, walks shoveled and salted before the doors open in the morning. Spring turns it all around again, beds raked open and edges recut to their proper shape. The village looks tended, and that does not happen on its own.
