About Davis Family Enterprises LLC

Late August in the village of Cambridge smells like cut grass and fair week, the brick storefronts still holding the day's heat well past supper. Davis Family Enterprises LLC mows the lawns along those Main Street blocks and out the roads toward Shushan and Salem — steady passes, close trimming at the iron fences and porch steps, borders held to a line. A village lot is small enough that any missed corner shows, which is precisely why the corners get the time. Spring is first cuts and raking winter out; October is leaves, hauled away before the rain glues them to the grass. Grass cut clean is one of the small dignities of a village street.
