About John H. Eschenberg Inc.

Above the river, the country out toward Callicoon Center is hayfield and hedgerow, hills folded one behind another into the western Catskills. John H. Eschenberg Inc. mows the lawns tucked into those folds — the flat piece by the house, the awkward bank nobody else wants, the strip along the road that grows fastest of all. July here means grass that gains on you inside a week, so the schedule holds and the cutting height stays right for the heat. Trimming around the sugar maples, a sharp line down both sides of the drive, and the autumn cleanup when the leaves come off the hillside all at once. Steep ground, level results.
